This 9 by 12 art print features the artwork of Marian Ellis Rowan, from the 1899 publication ‘A Guide to The Wildflowers’. Rowan was a talented botanist and painter, and she created over 3,000 paintings, traveling all over the world studying the plants and animals she encountered. Her representations of plants, have a unique artistic style, and were a significant contribution to the field of botany before photography was commonplace.

Butterfly Milkweed (Asclepias tuberosa), is found in a wide range of conditions across most of north America. A host plant for the endangered Monarch Butterfly, this beautiful and drought tolerant native wildflower is a great choice for home gardens.
